The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) has imposed fines of €256,000 and €544,000 respectively on two 'finfluencers'.
They are fined for cooperating with illegal asset manager Grinta Invest. The finfluencers have promoted this illegal party through a website and brought in investors. Each was thus guilty of being a co-perpetrator of illegal asset management. This is serious. Partly because of the promotion and referral by this person, investors stepped in and Grinta Invest was able to run off with their money.
