The picture is an MRI image of the brain of Temple Grandin, an American woman with autism. The story behind the MRI is even more interesting. On https://lnkd.in/dMv_Zg4X (source of the picture) you can read about this.
The number of glowing parts in Temple's brain indicates that there is a lot of 'going on' in the visual system. Exactly the reason that it is so important in psycho-education not to (just) talk, but that you must show a lot of pictures. It also shows that Temple (like many other people with autism) also has many more connections in the brain than people without autism, and it makes clear how 'busy' the brains of people with autism are.
So much still to learn…
